spaghetti-o jello


Spaghetti-O Jello Mold

1/4 C. water
1/4 C. tomato soup concentrate
2, (1/4 oz. or 2 1/4 t.) packets of unflavored gelatin
2 cans of Spaghetti-Os

3 cans of Vienna sausages
spinach or lettuce for garnish

Savory Lime Cheese Jello

Lime Cheese Jello

2, 3 oz. packages of lime Jell-o (jelly)
1 C. boiling water
1 t. grated onion
2 T. vinegar
3/4 C. cold water
1 T. mayonaise
1 C. cottage cheese

Liver-sausage Pineapple

Mix 1 pound liver sausage with 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup mayonnaise.

Shape around a jelly glass.

Soften 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatine in 2 teaspoons cold water, dissolve over hot water; add 1 cup mayonnaise; chill.

Frost "pineapple," score; stud with sliced stuffed olives. 

Top with real pineapple top.

1 quart strawberry ice cream

1 quart orange sherbet

1 quart lime sherbet

3 quarts vanilla ice cream

1 pint heavy cream, whipped

1 teaspoon vanilla

Chill 10-inch tube pan with removable bottom. With small scoop, shape balls of strawberry ice cream, orange and lime sherbet. Place on cookie sheet; chill on freezer until firm.

Soften vanilla ice cream. Whip till like fluffy whipped cream. Drop layers of colored balls into pan. Add whipped ice cream to fill spaces. Repeat till pan is filled. Freeze several hours.

Remove from pan. Frost with whipped cream flavored with vanilla. Makes 16 servings.

(If you want to freeze several days ahead, leave in pan, cover with moisture-vapor-proof wrapping.)

Around the World Breakfast Recipes


INGREDIENTs & amounts 

  • 500 grams of thinly cut strip steak or beef
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper 
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar (or oyster sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of finely grated garlic
  • 1 thinly sliced onion (optional, to sauté with beef at end)
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 3 cups of fried rice
  • 1 to 3 fried eggs, sunny side up
